Check out and celebrate our legends!

Still in our first year as a non-profit, fundraising can be a stressful event for the whole team. We’ve had agendas to fill, fundraisers to recruit and support, we have needed to be a highly organised (small) team. So, to say our first fundraiser was a challenge for all involved may be a slight understatement, especially for our fundraisers!

We started with a team of 10 but by the crunch day we were left with 5. The challenge was no joke and enough to scare grown men away. Nevertheless, Adam, Jerry, John, Lewis and Kim were our saviours and took to one of the most testing experiences of their lives; the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

They far exceeded expectations, raising over £3,000 to help improve the mental health and lives of the country’s most vulnerable children and adults that the Panacea Project Foundation serves.

The 25-mile cross country trek took them across the three highest peaks in Yorkshire; Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, which form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the River Ribble valley. The group, endured 5,200 feet of ascent in some of the most beautiful and isolated countryside in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Every one of them completed the challenge (even if their toe nails did not) well withinthe 12 hours target that was set. It was truly a remarkable achievement for them personally but also for bringing awareness and much needed funds to the work we do for children and vulnerable adults in underserved communities in great need of support for their mental wellbeing.

Thank you to our awesome team once more for all your hard work and dedication. It was a gift to see you all push through your physical and mental barriers. A truly selfless act in aid of those less fortunate than us and thank you to all our supporters who donated. Donations are still coming in so if you haven’t already shown your appreciation and would like to, DONTE HERE NOW.

As we continue to raise much needed funds all year round, we look forward to our next challenge. Keep your eyes peeled for details, hopefully you will be able to join us!
